Inskip point, at northern tip of the Sunny Coast is the jump off point for the barge to Fraser Island. We spent a fun few days with the Stacks who were debuting their fresh new caravan (first time camping with us but clearly not first time camping!)
A quick jaunt to get out of town!Karina was not invited (well maybe she un-invited herself) so it was just the boys. A last minute Hip-Camp in the Connandale area, where we found a cool campsite next to a clear running creek. Unfortunately a tribe of festive hippies a few fields over also chose to…Continue Reading “Boys Trip Sept 22”
Another way to calm down a bunch of manic kids at the end of the day…And some nostalgic Big Wednesday action for the grown ups…. Thanks AustralianDirect.com.au – 12V, 4WD, Caravan and Camping
A while back we auditioned for a gig hosted by the 4WD brand Kickass Products from Australian Direct. For some reason they liked our family and gave us the gig! It’s near to the indigenous community of Lockhart River and the small coastal hamlet of Portland Roads. It’s a special place and used to be connected to New Guinea…Continue Reading “Iron Range National Park – Cape York”
Loyalty Beach was our base for a few days at the Tip of Australia. The kids could finally go nuts and burn off all that energy that had been building during the long drive and we could relax in the evening in front of a crackling fire. Apart from the lurking crocs in the water,…Continue Reading “Loyalty Beach, Cape York”
Coming out of Townsville, passing cane field after cane field, we stop at Etty Bay on our way up the coast. A beautiful secluded tropical beach with palm trees, white sand and Cassowarys. It felt soooo good to be amongst some greenery, some trees and some ocean after the dry, dusty, barren yellow scrub of…Continue Reading “Etty Bay”
