When in the bush, you gotta do what you gotta do. Dust was a major problem and got into absolutely every orifice in the camper. Other than silicone seal or duct tape every conceivable hole or gap, the only other thing to do was force clean air in, to keep the dust out…..
Flossing is (apparently) the trendy dance that youngster do these days. Kinda Gangnam Style but a whole lot more subdued. Jonah performed for Karina’s camera all across the country…..
By Neil Heading south from the tip was gonna be an adventure. We knew that. It started with a two hour wait in line for the ferry to cross the Jardine River….. Yay. But we knew we had to give the OTT (The Old Telegraph Track) a go, at least part of it. Its a…Continue Reading “Leaving the Cape and the O.T.T.”
Jacky is one of The Friends that we travelled with on the Cape. How could we miss going to Jacky Jacky Creek? Generally this creek is full of crocs waiting to feed on you. But this little swimming hole proved to be a gem. Thanks Jacky. Jacky.

Coming out of Townsville, passing cane field after cane field, we stop at Etty Bay on our way up the coast. A beautiful secluded tropical beach with palm trees, white sand and Cassowarys. It felt soooo good to be amongst some greenery, some trees and some ocean after the dry, dusty, barren yellow scrub of…Continue Reading “Etty Bay”

We are about to serve the first.” The Prairie Hotel, is the only pub…Continue Reading “Little Hotel on the Prairie”
